**Valentines Day is coming up quick & Et Voila will be doing 3 nights of celebration.  Friday 2/11, Saturday 2/12 & Monday 2/14. Reservations are strongly recommended from 5:00 until 8:30.
**Et Voila's favorite Mobile Knife Sharpener is back! We wanted to let you all in on this special find.  He is willing to extend our price for sharpening knives & scissors to all of you, our loyal customers.

He will be sharpening knives at the restaurant this Wednesday February 2nd.  If you would like to have him sharpen anything for you, he will be here at 4:00p.m. so you can bring your knives in anytime this week before 4:00 on Wednesday.  He will have them ready to pick up at 6:00pm that same night (Wed Feb. 2nd)!

**Saturday February 5th, 2011 Join Chef Jose Dahan of Et Voila! for a benefit luncheon from 11:30am to 3pm. All proceeds from the prix fixe lunch (including Soup, Salad, Bread & Beverage for $12.95) will go to the Prado Day Center. Seating limited to 200 guests.

3/2 ~ Sommelier Tim Gabriel will introduce the wines from Malloy Oniel
3/9 ~ There will be a knife sharpening demonstration by our favorite mobile knife sharpener John Ala of Blade Runner Knife Sharpening.  He will also sharpen any knives you bring in at his regular price.

If you want to become King or Queen in your kitchen & would like some help getting there Et Voila has just the thing for you. 
We will be offering a series of 4 class courses.  It will be very hands on cooking classes.  Each class will be on four consecutive Wednesday nights (*no date substitutions)
Maximum 10 people per class at $250 per person

It is designed to make you feel more confident in your own kitchen by learning step by step in a professional kitchen.
You will learn:
Knife techniques
How to get organized
How to make soups, stocks, bread, sauces
How to blanch, poach, grill, roast, filet fish, bone chicken, bone leg of lamb
How to make dessert
We will be keeping wine consumption to a minimum due to knife handling.
Please no outside wine.
Wine by the glass will be available. 
Bring your own apron & your favorite knife if you have one

It will be authentic tapas from all regions of Spain.  There will be cold tapas including pate, olives, chorizo, Spanish cheese, boquerones, tortilla espanola etc...
There will be hot tapas including mussels, lamb, chicken, swordfish, a vegetarian dish etc...
Spanish wines will be offered by the glass and bottle as well.

**Friday February 4th, 2011 Et Voila will be participating in the 3rd Annual Culinary Carnival at Embassy Suites, SLO from 2/4/11 - 5:30-7:30pm 
Enjoy gourmet food prepared by regional celebrity chefs and restaurants, paired with local wine and beer.  Et voila will be paired with Tolosa Winery!  Combined with a beautiful setting and silent auction, come for a splendid evening filled with culinary delights. $40.00 per person. Week of January 3rd, 2011

**Et Voila Restaurant will be closed the first two weeks of January.  We will re-open on Tuesday January 18th for lunch.  We apologize for the inconvenience and we look forward to seeing you when we re-open!

**Due to the fact that we will be closed the first two weeks in January there will be No French Table in January.  The next French Table will be the first Tuesday in February.  We look forward to seeing you all then!
